What Immigration Malaysia says
- Photo capture: Malaysian International Passport photos are captured at the passport section using Facial Live Capture.
- Face and expression: Look directly at the camera, keep eyes open, and keep the mouth closed.
- Headwear: Hats are not allowed. Hair must not cover the face, and a tudung/hijab should not cover the forehead or facial outline.
- Glasses: Spectacles and contact lenses are not permitted during the capture session.
- Children under 4: Immigration Malaysia lists one 35x50 mm photo with a shadowless white background and face size of 25-30 mm.
